ASUS MB169B Review

Click to enlarge The ASUS MB168B + measures 14.9 x 9.26 x 0.26 inches and weighs only 1.6 lbs. Significantly thinner and lighter than the AOC e1659fwu (14.8 x 9.2 x 0.9 inches, 2.4 lbs), which also measures 15.6 inches, and the 14 inch Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 (13, 2 x 8.6 x 0.85 inches, 2.4 lbs). However, unlike Lenovo and AOC devices, the MB168B + does not have an arm. ASUS needs its 1 lb. Foldable canvas carrying case for mounting.

Once inside the case, the ASUS MB168B weighs + 2.6 kg. and measures 15.25 x 10.75 x 0.7 inches. In our test, the case slips easily into a pocket of our large laptop bag, leaving room for a smaller laptop or tablet.

The ASUS MB168B + is very similar to a high-end product with a metal-colored plastic stand, reminiscent of the covers of ASUS's Zenbook series of ultrabooks. The front and sides are a subtle matte plastic which is very classic compared to the cheap shiny plastic of the AOC e1659fwu. The left side houses all of the MB168B + connectors and buttons: a single micro USB 3.0 port, a brightness toggle, and an on / off button.

Having more than one monitor is a boon to productivity, and it's usually easy to grab another panel if you're working from home or the office. On the go, however, you can't exactly cut your favorite stunning in 4K resolution in a backpack. For this reason, mobile workers have long felt the pain of having to start using a single screen again.

Portable monitors are a solution to the conundrum, but devices in its class have so far been challenged by issues like high input latency, poor viewing angles, and washed-out monitors. Asus wants to change that with the MB169C +, which follows its previous laptop screen, the MB168B +.

An initially odd photo with the ZenScreen Go is a pen similar to the pen that came with the ZenScreen Touch, but it lacks the eraser used to interface with this model's touchscreen. However, Go's screen is not touch sensitive. This so-called ZenScreen pen is a perfectly usable ink pen, but it performs another function - when inserted into the hole next to the on / off button, in the right edge of the lower frame from behind, it can support the weight of the screen Go and plug and acts as a temporary stand. I have used it as such a lot, especially in places where I was set up.

Have you ever been embarrassed to try to share your screen in a meeting with someone and ask them to move around to show them your laptop screen? Have you ever wished that you had another screen to distribute tabs and improve the way you manage tasks in the workplace?

If not, have you ever considered going to a convention or esports event and want to play games with friends and acquaintances without having to pull out your entire laptop?

Portable monitors have come a long way and today we bring you one of the best products on the market. This article will ensure that you know the main features that make a great laptop screen so convenient anytime and for any purpose.
